Inside you will find mango wood, dusty pink velvet and olive green, soft light and a long bar. The space feels warm and natural, without any rush.
The menu features familiar dishes with a Rotterdam twist: from sandwiches and sharing boards to grill dishes, cocktails and wine. DOKSIDE will also become the second restaurant on the site.

Reservations & opening hours
Do I need to book at PIER40?
Booking is not required. You are very welcome to walk in and see if a table is available.
What are the opening hours?
PIER40 is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday from 12:30 to 20:00. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except during the school holidays; on Christmas Day (25 December) and New Year's Day (1 January) we are closed.
Can I come to PIER40 for lunch, drinks and dinner?
Yes! At PIER40 you can enjoy good food, a great cup of coffee, lunch, drinks and dinner. A lovely place to take a break during your day at ZUIDYARD.
Can I use my Noah’s Ark ticket at PIER40?
Yes! A ticket for Noah’s Ark costs €2 and also works as a €2 voucher at PIER40. Hand in your ticket with us and get €2 off your bill.

You will find PIER40 at ZUIDYARD in Rotterdam, right on the water and opposite Noah’s Ark. The address is Doklaan 40, 3081 AD Rotterdam.
What is ZUIDYARD?
ZUIDYARD (Rotterdam’s Waterfront Experience) is a special waterside destination in Rotterdam where activities, attractions and places to eat and drink come together. Come and play at Spelen bij Beelen, for example, go climbing at Gigi’s Klim World, visit Noah’s Ark, take a ride in the Beelen Eye or discover Rotterdam from the water with ZUIDYARD Cruise. Do I have to visit an attraction to eat or drink at PIER40?
No! PIER40 is open to everyone. You do not need a ticket for Spelen bij Beelen or any of the other attractions at ZUIDYARD to drop by.
How do I get to PIER40 and ZUIDYARD?
You can reach us by bike, public transport and car. We are very easy to get to!
Can I park at PIER40 and ZUIDYARD?
Certainly! There is plenty of parking on our own grounds. Parking costs €4 per hour or €22 for a day ticket. Just dropping someone off or picking them up? That is fine too. The first 15 minutes of parking are free.

Is PIER40 suitable for families with children?
Certainly! PIER40 is a restaurant for everyone. You are welcome with the whole family, but of course also with friends or colleagues, or simply for a coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner.

Yes, PIER40 is accessible for people with disabilities.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No, bringing your own food and drinks to PIER40 is not permitted.

Are large groups welcome?
Certainly! Larger groups are very welcome at PIER40 too. Please get in touch with us in advance so we can look at the options.
Can I hold a business meeting or event at PIER40?
Yes! PIER40 is part of ZUIDYARD and can be combined with a range of options for business meetings and events. Think of a lunch, drinks or dinner combined with a meeting, a boat trip or another activity at ZUIDYARD. For business event options, please contact verhuur@zuidyard.nl.
